Our Mission

the beginning

It All started on a sunny December Thursday afternoon, over a couple of cold beers at our local, The Whitfords Brewing Co, Daniel suggesting to his good mate Cobey “Hey, I want to do a postie Bike Challenge, to raise funds for a charity”, let’s ride from Mundaring to Albany…Through the bush. Even without a bike at that stage, three words from Cobey “Count me in!”, and so the Mundal 1000 was born.

Less than a month later the bikes were bought and momentum began. In January Daniel, Cobey and the third team member to join – Andrew, along with support vehicle driver – Barry (Daniel’s Brother), took a trek in 4wd vehicles over 3 days from Mundaring to Albany through the bush to plot the course, for the event to take place in October 2023.

Currently as of July 2023, the four participating riders, Daniel, Cobey, Andrew and Francis have raised over $ 8,500 towards there goal of $ 20,000 to support this years chosen charity KCSG.

our Vision

What we want

This being the inaugral Mundal 1000, is an exciting opportunity providing a platform to promote our vision to hold an annual postie bike event raising funds to help others in need. We aim for the success of this event to enable us to assist a different charity annually.

Our Mission

What we Plan

It is our mission to raise $20,000 and hopefully surpass this amount for this years chosen charity Kids Cancer Suppport group. The riders will trek rain hail or shine through bush, mud, gravel and sandy tracks with river crossings, supporting each other to complete our mission of travelling 1000kms on our postie bikes raising funds and awareness.
